Last year there were highs and lows but overall it turned out to be a great year. My family moved from Tennessee last and I hated that I had to leave my friends and my old gym behind. But my opinion about moving has changed. I love my new gym and have made new friends. I also like that we moved closer to my aunt Erin.
Last year we started sled pups and I got to do my first CrossFit competitions. I began working out more at home because of my mom’s schedule, but at the end of the year I got signed up for Olympic lifting class. I like having my mom as a trainer but love that I have a gym again.
This year I will be competing in the RUFIT and at the Fit kids classic again, but now I will be in the 12-14 age group. I want to look for new competitions. My goal is to do 3-4. In addition, to competitions, I will be going, to American Sled Dogs this summer to help with the Sled Pups Summer camps in Virginia Beach. I also go to the International Gymnastics Camp in Pennsylvania every summer, and then I visit my Grandma in Oregon. I love to travel!!
I’m really excited for a new year, but I will miss my last. I can’t wait to start a new year with more competitions and lots of visits to my family in Georgia and Oregon. One of the great things about a new year is that it’s another chance to do better. I want to improve and get more skills. It’s 2016 and that means time to level up!!!
