Quinn started training in martial arts at the age of 4. It was a kids class that taught basic fundamentals, and it wasn’t something he asked to do. Rather it was something his dad made him do, in order to make sure he had some good self-defense skills as he grew up. Then, when he was 6 years old, Quinn started to wrestle at the Tallwood Wrestling Club. There he got his first real taste of competition and he was hooked. Shortly after he started BJJ, and then at 7 he began training in Muay Thai.
Now at age 9, Quinn is still training in all 3 disciplines, plus doing additional conditioning work with gymnastics, weightlifting, and circuit training. So what’s a normal training week look like for Quinnja? Here’s an example we put together for you, that is based on Quinn’s normal training plan. That means any week he isn’t traveling or prepping for a competition.
Yes, that looks like a lot, but don’t let Quinn’s dedication make you think his whole life is work. Outside of the gym, Quinn is like any other kid. His motto is “Eat Pizza, Train Hard, Play Video Games, Repeat”. Just check our interview with him, and he will tell you himself.
